Body odour can be intolerable whether you’re in public or at home. Some of you may already have a favourite deodorant that you swear by to keep you fresh throughout the day. But this quarantine scenario may have you running out your supply. Don’t you worry; there is a DIY solution for this.
Since your underarm skin is delicate and sensitive, it makes sense not to use harsh chemicals on it, and mind you some deodorants do contain such ingredients. Harsh deodorants can also cause underarm skin. A natural DIY deodorant, like the recipe spurred below, contains the power of natural moisturising, brightening, antiseptic, and antibacterial ingredients which will work to nourish your underarm skin and improve its appearance over time.

DIY Natural Deodorant
Ingredients
Baking soda (3 tablespoons)
Cornstarch (5 tablespoons)
Shea butter (4 tablespoons)
Organic coconut oil (2 tablespoons)
Lavender essential oil (20 drops)
Frankincense essential oil (15 drops)
Tea tree essential oil (15 drops)
Jasmine essential oil (15 drops)
If your skin is overly sensitive, decrease the amount of baking soda and increase the amount of cornstarch. Do a patch test.
PS: You can experiment with your favourite aromatic essential oils to make a fragrance you prefer.
Method
1. Mix together the baking soda and cornstarch and keep it aside.
2. Melt the coconut oil and shea butter in a double boiler.
3. Take it off the heat and gradually add the baking soda and cornstarch mixture while stirring.
4. Now, immediately add the essential oils and whisk the mixture well to combine all ingredients. Transfer this mixture to a glass jar and store it in the refrigerator.
Usage
Take a small amount of this paste and massage it onto your underarms and other hot spots on your body like the neck, elbow pits, knee pits, and wrists.
